Welcome! We are glad you're interested in worship ministries at GMC. We hope the following information will answer any questions you might have.
Tell me about your worship services.
Each week we have two worship services. Although they differ in musical styles, the theme of the service and the message by Pastor Bill are the same. The choir and drama participate in both services.
9:00 am worship service in the sanctuary
The style of music is "blended" using both hymns and choruses. The instrumentation varies from week to week often including praise band, brass, woodwinds, strings, as well as organ and piano. Special instrumental and vocal numbers are often included. The service is coordinated by Georgana SanGiacomo.
10:15 am worship service in the gym
The style of music is "contemporary praise and worship". This service is designed to be an uplifting experience to bring you into the presence of God. Instruments, drums, and vocalists will lead you in an exciting time of worship that will encourage and inspire you. This fellowship is coordinated by Lee Houtz.
How do people dress?
We have suits and ties and skirts and jeans and wheelchairs and Dockers and slacks and smiles and sweats and walkers and canes and sweaters.
How can I get involved?
We are delighted that you are interested in participating in worship ministries. The best way to get started is to talk with one of our worship pastors regarding your area of interest.
